How and What We Do

A Place for Us Greyhound Rescue has had recognition as a 501c3 Nonprofit Charitable Organization since 1997. The group is manned completely by unpaid volunteers.


APFUG considers every interested applicant. Lubbock serves as the group's central location. The adoption fee is $200 unless otherwise stated. We will consider your application from any locale in the United States.


APFUG remains active as a source to help dogs in peril that were bred to hunt small game-using the broad definition "Lurchers" to describe them.


APFUG is committed to helping all dogs under our care with a comprehensive program that focuses on rescue, recovery, and rehabilitation using all the available resources needed to accomplish this.


 APFUG is on record as neutral about any issues concerning Greyhound racing.
