Monetary Donations

This request represents our highest priority.  The group assumes care for Greyhounds/sighthounds that need a variety of interventions.  Medical care is the group's greatest expense with 85% of its budget last year spent on paying for veterinarian bills and medications.  In many cases, the dog's expenses exceed the adoption fee by 100%.  We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.  Your donation is tax deductible and will be acknowledged by a letter that will serve as the receipt for the donation.

Thank you in advance and all donations are appreciated! It’s FREE to Vote for the Greyhounds during the yearly community rewards contest sponsored by City Bank. Vote often and show your support. The contest tends to run November-December and links are posted on the webpage, Facebook, and Instagram. The votes added up and the group won $1,000 in the 2021 contest!

Giving Tuesday via Facebook is a good way to donate since there is no processing fee. Donors will get an emailed receipt from Facebook’s Network for Good. The money is deposited directly into the group’s account. On Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021—Facebook will match $8 million. Matching is first-come, first-serve. Matching starts promptly at 7:00 a.m. Central time (8:00-Eastern, 6:00 Mountain, and 5:00 a.m. Pacific.) Watch for the posting on the group’s Facebook page very early Tuesday-November 30. Over $2,000 was donated--watch for updates to see the total and if the money was matched. Very successful campaign for 2021 "Giving Tuesday".

Sending donations via PayPal is easy if you follow the link from our webpage. The group’s email is aplaceforusgreyhounds@yahoo.com and the account's name: APlace for Us Greyhound Rescue. Donations are directly deposited, and donors can expect a mailed tax-receipt from the group. PayPal does charge a small processing fee. This amount is often recouped as PayPal sends small grants on a regular basis.

Mailing a check or money order. There is no processing fee, it’s a secure Post Office Box, and the bank is literally around the corner! Donors will receive a mailed tax receipt.
